This auction is for 2 tins used during World War 1 for food storage, one marked: MODEL OF 1916, and the other is unmarked. The 1916 tin was used for bacon storage and the other is a 2 compartment container used for condiments or spices. These old tins are in very good condition overall with a tiny dent in the end of the lid of the bacon tin and with a shiny near mint looking interior. The other tin has a few minor specks of rust around the end of the small container end and both have a typical, near 100 year old tarnish/patina. The bacon tin measures 7″ by 3″ by 2 3/4″ and the spice tin fits inside with a total weight of 14 ozs. *As always, no reserve, no buy it now and a very low starting price. *No rules, simply pay and I mail promptly. Up for auction is an authentic 1860 Drake’s Plantation Bitters bottle in excellent condition. Not a single nick or chip in the glass. Color is a deep amber. These are sometimes dug in Civil War camps and in fact is identical to one I saw dug out of a pit in Brandy Station, VA. Comes with an Army of Tennessee certificate of authenticity. The white heavy canvas cover is in very good condition, with a few minor stains. The cot measures 77 inches long, by 26 inches wide unfolded, and 37 inches long by 11 wide and 4 inches deep, folded, and has two sticks for the ends. The leg shown is missing a small piece of wood, but doesn’t affect the sturdiness of the cot.
